About Me

Hello. My name is Graham Macleod and I teach ICT at Little Heath School in Tilehurst, near Reading.

I'm interested in the teaching and learning possibilities of technology in the School, not just for ICT but across all subjects.

I'm particularly interested in the interactive whiteboard.

Current projects are:

  • A whiteboard operating environment, aiming to bring videos, sound and flash animations within easy reach - a single thumb-press away.
  • A report writing assistant that uses colour-coded paragraphs to make report writing simple.
  • A timetable application for mobile phones that vibrates the phone so that students know when it's time to get moving.
  • A task switcher that allows fiddle-free switching in and out of powerpoint presentations.
  • A student database optimised for report writing, assessment and the learning of names.

I love my bikes. That's probably why I haven't got these things finished!
